What the Maze is and how it works
The Maze is a self-contained island zone built as a shifting labyrinth. Corridors branch in multiple directions, rooms vary between runs, and enemy placements change, keeping each visit unpredictable. Unlike open mining zones, progress here is linear and objective-driven.
How to access the Maze in the Forge
Step 1
Mine Coinite from special crystal veins found in Raven’s Cave areas.

Step 2
Travel to the dock near the Frostspire Island region and speak with the ferry operator.

Step 3
Pay 1 Coinite to board the ferry and remain on it until the trip completes.

Swimming or falling into the water during transit results in instant defeat, so stay put until you arrive the Maze.

Where the Maze is located
The Maze exists on a separate island that cannot be reached by normal travel. The ferry from the Frostspire dock is the only entry point, and each trip places you directly at the Maze entrance.

What you do inside the Maze
Navigation through the Maze is the primary challenge. You move through branching hallways, clearing rooms and choosing paths without a fixed route. Combat encounters are frequent, with standard enemies appearing early and stronger mini-boss-style foes deeper in.

NPCs scattered throughout the Maze offer short quests such as defeating specific enemies or reaching certain rooms. These quests reset regularly, encouraging repeat runs. At the entry of the Maze, you will find the Masked Stranger NPC.

A hidden merchant known as Fungi may also appear somewhere within the Maze, selling consumables and select blueprints for gold. Both location and inventory can change between resets.

You will also come across the two angels - Zarall and Zachariel guarding the Heavenly Pickaxe inside the Maze.

Players have noted that maze completion is important to get ot the Heavenly Pickaxe. It unlocks after completing all Angelic quests also known as Maze quests. Heavenly pickaxe can be bought for 2,400,000 after unlocking.
