All Decorative Eggs in Code Violet

Decorative Egg 1 – Testing Facility basement

This egg is located in the basement just west of Emergency Monitoring in the Testing Facility. To reach it, first adjust the valves in all four rooms so that the needle on each gauge rests in the green zone, this will drain the flooded stairwell and open access to the lower floor.

Once done, enter the room filled with boxes on the left, move one aside, and you’ll find the egg hidden behind three large boxes at the far end.

Decorative Egg 2 – Outside the Testing Facility

Once you exit the Testing Facility into the outdoor area with the gate, look for a large grey truck on the left side. Walk around to the back of the truck (the side opposite the gate), and the egg will be sitting on the ground behind it, near the front wheel.

Decorative Egg 3 – Preservation Facility gym

Inside the Preservation Facility, go to the gym area. In front of you, there’s a classic arcade machine (Chin‑Fu). Circle around to the back of that machine, and the egg is hidden behind it, in the corner.

Decorative Egg 4 – Outside Preservation Facility

When you leave the Preservation Facility, you’ll come across a massive fallen tree blocking the path. Crawl under it, then turn right and climb up onto the top of the log. Walk along the log to its far end, and the egg will be sitting on the wood at the very end.

Decorative Egg 5 – Communications Facility storage bay

In the Communications Facility, head into the Main Storage Bay (the large room with the aquarium and a vehicle). In the southeast corner of the bay, there’s a vehicle parked there.

Go around to the back of that vehicle, and the egg is sitting on the ground behind it.

Decorative Egg 6 – Outside Communications Facility

After exiting the Communications Facility into the outdoor area with the gate, don’t go straight through. Instead, turn right immediately after the door and look behind the huge red tree in that corner. The egg is placed on the ground behind the tree, near some crates.

Decorative Egg 7 – Bioengineering Lab goat exhibit

In the Bioengineering Lab, go to the room above the Admin Office that contains the goat exhibit. Shoot the glass wall of the exhibit to enter the goat enclosure, then walk behind the goat statue inside. The egg is hidden behind the statue, near the tree in that display.

Decorative Egg 8 – Disposal Facility Coolent Room

In the Disposal Facility, enter the Coolent Room. As you walk in, there’s a large cylindrical machine on the right side of the room. Walk around to the back of that machine and look behind it; the final egg is sitting there on a pillar.

Collect all eight Decorative Eggs to earn the “Collectors Item” trophy. Many are hidden in corners, behind objects, or in side rooms, so it’s easy to miss a few, especially in the Bioengineering Lab’s goat room and the Disposal Facility’s Coolant Room.
