COD Black Ops 7: Exposure Mission Walkthrough

The Exposure mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the action packed start of the campaign. You play as Mason, leading a JSOC strike team on an infiltration mission inside the Avalon Guild Research Facility. The mission teaches you the basics like stealth, close-range combat, and simple puzzle-solving.

Your goals are straightforward: break into the Guild’s research facility, access a quantum drive by solving a circuit puzzle, plant explosives, and fight your way out as enemies swarm the area. The mission ends with a dramatic & distorted encounter with Menendez, setting the stage for the rest of the story as Avalon starts to collapse and the Red Toxin spreads through the city.

COD BO7 'Exposure' mission walkthrough

Step 1

You’ll begin the mission inside the Avalon Guild Research Facility, where your goal is to infiltrate the compound. Move carefully through the entrance, take out the few guards patrolling the area, and keep advancing toward the waypoint.

Step 2

Once you’ve cleared all the enemies, head downstairs to the ground floor. Make your way to the locked gate and hack the terminal to open it.

Step 3

After hacking and going through the door, you’ll enter a room swarming with the Guild’s autonomous security robots. Take them out and clear the room before moving forward.

Step 4

After clearing out the security robots, you’ll come to another locked door blocked by an energy field. Smash the window to the right of the door and disable the field to get through the door.

Step 5

Take out all the enemies, then head to the room on the left of the L-03 locked door. Use the terminal to unlock it and go through the L-03 door to reach the Quantum Computer.

Step 6

When you reach the Quantum Computer room, hack the first system lock on the right.

Step 7

Move to the second security lock which is on the left side of the Quantum Computer. The front door will be locked so run behind the Quantum Computer to go inside the room from the back door and hack the terminal to access the Quantum Computer.

Step 8

Grab the Quantum Drive from the Quantum Computer, but be ready—security bots will ambush you right after. Take out all the enemies to continue.

Step 9

Plant the four explosives in the marked spots around the room, all while waves of enemies keep closing in on your position.

Step 10

After planting the Semtex charges and taking out the remaining enemies, make your way to the facility exit and regroup with your team.

Step 11

After the cutscene, a red toxin hits, causing anyone affected to go into uncontrollable rage. Fight your way through the enraged enemies and distorted vision as you make your way back to the exit to regroup with your team.

Step 12

After the cutscene, you’ll enter an open-world area. Use your new Kinetic Jump ability to leap from one floating rock to the next and make your way to the Mansion Courtyard.

Step 13

After reaching the town, you’ll be swarmed by enemies. Keep taking them out as you make your way through the town toward the Mansion Courtyard's Gate.

Step 14

Regroup at the Mansion Courtyard gate to enter, which will trigger a cutscene with Menendez.

Step 15

After the cutscene, a boss fight will start. Defeat Menendez who will keep teleporting to different spots inside the courtyard.

Step 16

Watch out for Menendez’s machetes falling from the sky—they deal heavy AOE damage. Once they land, you can pick them up and use them as Killstreaks to deal massive damage to Menendez.

Step 17

Keep laying fire on Menendez and make good use of the Machete Killstreaks to bring him down and finish the mission.
