What to know
- Google’s Circle to Search feature will soon let you save search queries.
- All saved search queries will be accessible from the Pixel Screenshot app.
- This integration aims to enhance the search experience on Pixel devices
Google is set to enhance its popular Circle to Search feature with a nifty new capability. Soon, Pixel users will be able to save their Circle to Search search queries directly in the Pixel Screenshot app, making it easier than ever to revisit and manage their visual searches.
To recap, Circle to Search allows users to circle, highlight, or scribble on their screen to initiate a search.
The information comes from AndroidAuthority’s APK teardown of the Google app (beta version 15.32.37.29.arm64). With the new feature, Circle to Search will be more closely integrated with the Pixel Screenshot app. Users will find a new “save” button after selecting an area of their screen to search.
Additionally, if you’ve enabled AI for Screenshots, you’ll even get AI-generated summaries for the screenshot – a handy AI trick to get contextual info on the screenshot.
The integration with the Pixel Screenshot app is a smart move by Google. It provides a central hub for users to manage their visual searches, making it simpler to revisit and organize information discovered through Circle to Search.
While an exact release date for this update hasn’t been announced, Pixel users can look forward to this enhanced search experience in the near future.
