The third Captain Rowan quest marks a difficulty spike in The Forge Roblox's early progression loop. Instead of simple cave mobs, you now need to clear higher-tier skeletons hidden deeper inside the Ruined Cave. This quest also introduces your first legendary-grade requirement, Eye Ore, which is rare and may take multiple runs to obtain.
The guide below provides clear directions to complete every objective cleanly.
How to start
Talk to Captain Rowan after finishing his second quest. Once you turn in Captain Rowan 2, he immediately assigns you the next objective set.
Objective
- Kill Skeleton Rogue: 0/35
- Kill Axe Skeleton: 0/15
- Kill Deathaxe Skeleton: 0/5
- Bring Eye Ore: 1
Walkthrough
Follow the steps below to complete the Captain Rowan 3 quest:
Step 1
After completing the second quest, Captain Rowan assigns four tasks: kill 35 Skeleton Rogues, 15 Axe Skeletons, 5 Deathaxe Skeletons, and bring 1 Eye Ore.

Step 2
Enter the Ruined Cave and proceed through the tunnels.

Step 3
Skeleton Rogues spawn right at the entrance. They are easy to find and drop essence based on their level. Clear them while moving toward the deeper sections.

Step 4
Move further in toward Crumbling Halls. Axe Skeletons begin appearing in this zone. They hit harder than Rogues but are still manageable. They also drop essence according to level.

Step 5
Continue heading deeper until you reach areas like Ashen Passage and Sunken Cells. This is where Deathaxe Skeletons spawn. These enemies are significantly tougher and have a higher chance to drop Boneite, a rare ore. Expect longer fights here.

Step 6
You must also obtain Eye Ore, a legendary item with very low drop rates. You may need multiple cave runs to secure one.

Step 7
After completing the kill counts and obtaining the Eye Ore, return to Captain Rowan. He will check your progress and assign the next quest.
