What to know
- Arknights: Endfield has no official macOS version right now
- Current tests are limited to Windows PC and mobile platforms
- Mac users must rely on workarounds like cloud gaming or emulation
- Official Mac support has not been confirmed yet
You cannot directly play Arknights Endfield on macOS at this time. The developers, Hypergryph, have only released test builds and technical tests for Windows PCs and select mobile devices.
If you are using a Mac, you currently have to depend on indirect methods. The most common option is using Windows through Boot Camp (Intel Macs only). This allows you to install Windows and run the PC version of the game, but it does not work on Apple Silicon Macs like M1 or M2.

For newer Macs, virtualization tools like Parallels Desktop are often the first alternative people try. This lets you run Windows inside macOS without rebooting. While it works well for productivity apps and lighter games, Endfield is expected to be graphically demanding. Virtual machines rely on shared resources and translation layers, which usually leads to lower frame rates, input lag, and occasional crashes. You can still experiment with it, but it’s not ideal for a smooth gameplay experience.
Cloud gaming is the most accessible workaround if the game becomes available on supported platforms. Services like GeForce NOW run the game on remote servers and stream it to your Mac. This removes hardware limitations entirely—you just need a stable, fast internet connection. The downside is that Endfield is not currently confirmed for any cloud platform, so this option depends on future support.
Right now, there is no confirmation that Arknights: Endfield will release on macOS. The developer, Hypergryph, has only discussed and tested the game on Windows PC and mobile platforms in its most recent technical phases.
If you look at current platform trends, this is not unusual. Most large-scale RPGs—especially those with real-time combat and open-zone design like Endfield—prioritize Windows due to wider hardware compatibility and established graphics support. macOS gaming support has improved, but it still represents a much smaller player base compared to PC and mobile.
