Social networks have formed an important part of the lives of many in this day and age, and checking our favourite social networks for updates from our friends is something we often do multiple times a day. CallApp for Android is a new caller ID app that brings social networking to phone calls, by giving you updates from a caller or called person’s social networks during a call.
CallApp can display info ranging from the contact’s Facebook status, their occupation from LinkedIn, birth date, to showing you their next event from their Facebook calendar, emails that they have sent you to your Gmail account, their location on the map, and much more. The best thing is that the caller/called person does not have to be in your contacts or social circles for all this info to be displayed, nor do they have to be using CallApp themselves.
CallApp supports Facebook, Gmail, LinkedIn, Twitter, and FourSquare, and can replace the stock dialer and contacts apps on your device. It is a great unique take on caller ID functionality, integrating social networking in a very useful manner, and the app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
