Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone officially starts on December 4, 2025. It is described as the largest season ever for the game, bringing extensive content across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes. This post-launch update arrives just weeks after Black Ops 7's November 14 release, aiming to deepen player engagement and expand gameplay variety.
Multiplayer new maps, modes, and weapons
Multiplayer features 10 new maps in total: four brand-new maps (Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, Yakei), and three remastered or returning classics including Standoff, Meltdown (both from Black Ops 2), and Fringe (from Black Ops 3).

Additionally, a holiday-themed variant of Hijacked is included. Nine game modes either return or debut, such as Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, Sharpshooter, Sticks and Stones, Gun Game, and holiday-themed modes like Codmas Snowfight.

The weapons roster expands with seven new unlockable weapons including the Maddox AR, Crossbow, Ballistic Knife, Krig C assault rifle, Saug SMG, Power Drill, and Cleaver melee weapon. Player weapon handling improvements include faster mantle speeds, sprint-to-fire door interactions, and reduced recoil to enhance combat flow.

Zombies mode updates
Season 1 introduces a new main Zombies map called Astra Malorum, set on a skull-shaped rock in space. It brings a new robotic enemy called O.S.C.A.R. and a new Wonder Weapon known as the LGM-1, which fires UFO-shaped projectiles.

Two survival maps, Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome, also arrive. Popular features from previous entries make a return, including the Mule Kick perk and various field upgrades, alongside a Directed Mode for the Ashes of the Damned map to assist players with story quests.

Warzone integration and changes
Warzone sees a new resurgence map called Haven's Hollow, set in Liberty Falls before the outbreak, plus two new points of interest in Verdansk: Factory and Signal Station.
The integration with Black Ops 7 enables new casual and limited-time modes. Loadouts are adjusted with a five-attachment maximum, Overkill enabled by default, and the removal of Wildcards. The update also brings seasonal holiday events and new world events with large bosses in the Endgame campaign mode.
