C4SH, Borderlands 4’s newest Vault Hunter, is a robot who left life as a casino dealer in search of the wild adrenaline rush found only in the pursuit of cursed and cosmic treasures. He’s set to debut in the first paid DLC story pack, “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned,” arriving in Q1 2026. The expansion also introduces a new zone on the planet Kairos, loaded with campaign and side missions, legendary gear, and fresh cosmetics.
C4SH’s gameplay stands out thanks to his casino-inspired abilities. His kit incorporates dice throws, card draws, and various probabilistic effects—in other words, every move carries the possibility of big upside or dramatic misfortune.

These powers work through three unique Action Skills, each supported by branching skill trees that further amplify the unpredictable, risk-reward nature of his build. While specifics about each ability haven’t been detailed yet, the developers promise that gameplay with C4SH will be highly variable, with potential to buff allies, debilitate enemies, or even flip the tide in ways that depend on chance.
To unlock C4SH, you need either the Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 4, the Vault Hunter Pack, or a direct purchase of the “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned” Story Pack. These content bundles will also feature several cosmetic rewards including heads, weapon and vehicle skins, and drone customizations. This pack launches the 2026 content roadmap, with another new Vault Hunter confirmed for later in the year.
C4SH’s debut signals a bold, luck-driven direction for the Borderlands roster, adding suspense and replay value for fans who thrive on unpredictable, high-stakes gameplay.
