What to know
- The Cuspid Climb Vault fragment sits inside a cliff cave, accessible by riding the balloon lift from the Reliquary Order Silo.
- You must first unlock or access the silo in Hollowhome (Terminus Range) to enable the traversal gadgets needed.
- After reaching the cliff outcrop via the balloon, a short climb inside the cave leads to the fragment.
- Once all three Terminus Range fragments are collected, the Vault door ("Arch of Origo") appears between Low Leys and Cuspid Climb.
Getting to the Vault fragment in Borderlands 4’s Cuspid Climb area takes a bit of creative traversal, but the right path and gadgets make it a straightforward—if vertical—mission. After collecting this fragment, gathering the remaining Terminus Range keys unlocks access to the powerful Vault itself.
Exploring locations in Terminus Range and the vault fragment system
Terminus Range is one of three main regions on Kairos setting the stage for Vault Key Fragments collection. Each region houses three unique fragments. In Terminus Range, these are distributed between Vestal Garrison, The Low Leys, and Cuspid Climb. Collecting all three grants passage to the regional Vault, offering rare loot and boss encounters.
| Location | Key Detail | Traversal Needed | Connected Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vestal Garrison | Ruined outpost | None/Minimal | Terminus Range |
| The Low Leys | Shrouded woodland | Basic traversal tools | Terminus Range |
| Cuspid Climb | Cliff-cave, balloon lift required | Reliquary gadgets | Terminus Range |
| Arch of Origo | Cave behind shrine, ravine access | Glide/jump | Border (Low Leys–Cuspid Climb) |
Where to find the Cuspid Climb vault fragment

The Cuspid Climb Vault Key Fragment is cleverly tucked inside a cave perched high up a cliff, and the path upward is as much a puzzle as the fight for the key itself. Most routes to the cave require the use of traversal upgrades available once the Reliquary ("Order") Silo in Hollowhome is activated.

This pivotal step grants access to balloon lifts and zipline boosts—a necessity for the steep terrain.
How to reach the Cuspid Climb vault fragment
Step 1: Unlock or reach the Reliquary Silo in Hollowhome
Progress the story or complete the side objective that opens up the Order Silo in Hollowhome. This unlocks vital traversal tools such as the balloon lift and ziplines, giving new access to cliffside outcroppings and hard-to-reach areas in the range.

Step 2: Access the balloon lift from the silo
Exit the Reliquary Silo—often through a high window or platform—and drop onto the waiting balloon lift or its dock. The lift is the quickest way to reach the high ledge; look for visual cues like ropes, steam, or a glow at dusk signaling its location.

Step 3: Ascend to the cliff outcrop
Ride or activate the balloon, which either soars or zip-lines you to a northern cliff ledge. This outcrop is easily identified by a sparse stand of trees and a clear overlook towards a cave mouth cut into the rock face.

Step 4: Enter the cave and climb up
Walk into the cave entrance. There’s a series of rocky steps and natural platforms—the path is narrow but navigable with some jumping and climbing.

The Vault Key Fragment rests atop a stone pedestal at the deepest point in the cave.

How to find the Vestal Garrison fragment
Step 1: Head to the Vestal Garrison entrance

Enter the Vestal Garrison from the eastern side if coming from Carcadia Burn, or from the southwest near Nightcap Safehouse if already in Terminus Range.
Step 2: Enter through the large doors
Approach and pass through the prominent hangar-style doors, which often require clearing some order enemies outside and inside.

Step 3: Go upstairs to the command room
Once inside, climb the stairs on your left and go through another interior door.

This hallway leads up a short staircase to a command room with computer terminals and a large monitor.

Step 4: Find the fragment on a crate
Look for a crate below the large monitor in the command room. The Vault Key Fragment sits on this crate, usually not far from a table with other electronic gear.

How to find the Low Leys fragment
Step 1: Reach The Low Leys (central region)
Travel towards The Pit, a point of interest in the centre of the Low Leys, just north of the Eureka Stane activity. Approach from Snowy Wells Safehouse for the shortest route.

Step 2: Find the group of houses and a curved tree
On the way to The Pit, look for a small cluster of houses raised on stilts and a distinct curved tree with pink leaves growing next to a cliff face. This tree marks the base of the climbing route.

Step 3: Climb the rocks and use the grapple
Start climbing the rocks behind the tree. There’s a visible grapple point above, which lets you zip up to a higher ledge overlooking the area. The vault fragment is placed on a pedestal on this upper platform.

How to reach the vault door (Arch of Origo)
With all three fragments of Terminus Range in hand, you’re ready for the main event. The Vault door—called the Arch of Origo—lies along the border between Low Leys and Cuspid Climb.
Step 1: Travel from Heritage Opus safehouse into The Low Leys
Start at the Heritage Opus safehouse and take the road north, moving through The Low Leys region.
Step 2: Locate the ledge and ravine
After crossing the prominent bridge in The Low Leys, look left for a ledge on the far side of a ravine. The ledge can usually be reached by gliding or carefully jumping with the boost gained from traversal tools.

Step 3: Enter the Vault cave behind the shrine
On the ledge, find and enter the cave behind an old shrine structure.

This marks the entrance to the Vault—the Arch of Origo.

Step 4: Complete the Vault challenges

Once the Vault door is found, interact with it and insert the key in the stone level ((Echo will take care of it). Once the Vault door assembles, you can go inside and face off against the Vault’s own challenges and its guardian. Success yields plentiful loot and powerful rewards.
Borderlands 4’s Cuspid Climb vault fragment quest mixes puzzle, platforming, and exploration, all culminating in a rewarding Vault door discovery once the region’s secrets are uncovered. Master the ascent and you’ll be cracking the Arch of Origo in no time
