Blu has made a good name for itself in the past couple of years by launching high spec’d devices for a budget price into the market. The company’s Studio X and Studio X Plus are well acclaimed smartphones with near-stock Android experience.

Also, the manufacturer has so far been good at releasing newer Android updates to its budget devices, which most manufacturers skip in favor of premium flagship devices.

We expect Blu to release Marshmallow update to its Studio series and other devices that were recently launched and are already running on Lollipop.

Blu has many devices currently selling in the market, but we don’t expect all of them to get the Marshmallow update. However, the ones with 2GB RAM have good chances of getting the update.

Blu Marshmallow update release won’t be anything quick though, it may take the company 180 or more days from the official announcement of Android Marshmallow (Sept. 29th) to release the update to its devices.

Blu released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in Q3 2015 to its Studio X and Studio X Plus devices. If we make guess for Blu Marshmallow update based on the company’s Lollipop release timeline. It most probably will be Q2 2016.
