Bloody Strings Hachibee Bounty location

You’ll find Bloody Strings Hachibee in the Stone Jaw Coast area of the Ishikari Plain region in Ghost of Yōtei. This bounty becomes available through the Ishikari Market bounty board, and his camp lies a short ride northwest from there.

How to complete the Bloody Strings Hachibee bounty

The following are the steps to complete Bloody Strings Hachibee bounty in Ghost of Yotei:

Step 1 - Accept the bounty

Go to the Ishikari Market and locate the bounty board found next to Kojiro the Bounty Broker. Interact with it and select the Bloody Strings Hachibee bounty. The quest should now be marked automatically, and the guiding wind will point toward the location.

Step 2 - Locate the area

Follow the guiding wind northwest toward Stone Jaw Coast. Look for smoke trails or wandering caravans near the coast cliffs. The caravan is usually between the marked “S” in Stone Jaw Coast and the southern path toward Ishikari Castle.

Step 3 - Lure Hachibee out

Approach the caravan and speak with the leader. He will hint that Hachibee hates shamisen music. Use the shamisen to play near the different groups of people. After a few attempts, one member will angrily reveal himself as Hachibee.

Step 4 - Defeat Hachibee and his ronins

Once Hachibee exposes himself, a battle will begin against multiple ronin allies. Defeat them all — Hachibee is identifiable by his straw hat and red cords. Make use of counters and wide-area attacks to handle the mob efficiently.

Step 5 - Collect straw hat

After victory, collect Hachibee’s Straw Hat from his body. Return to Kojiro at the Ishikari Market bounty board to claim your 750 Coin reward.

Tips for completing this bounty

Use your shamisen to expose the target

Hachibee hates the sound of the shamisen — play it near each group in the caravan to force him to reveal himself before you engage in combat.

Watch for smoke in the sky

A thin column of smoke rising from the Stone Jaw Coast signals the caravan’s location, helping you find the camp faster without wandering.

Don’t attack immediately

Hachibee is hidden among travelers; rushing in might alert everyone and make him harder to identify. Use the shamisen first to trigger his reveal sequence.

Collect the Straw Hat reward

Once Hachibee is defeated, loot his body to obtain his unique Straw Hat — a cosmetic vanity item that adds flair to your gear setup.

Turn in the bounty to Kojiro

After looting, return to the bounty broker at Ishikari Market to complete the quest officially and secure your full coin reward.

Boost your early-game funds

With around 1,200 Coins total in rewards, this bounty is one of the best early opportunities to earn money quickly.

Completing Bloody Strings Hachibee serves as one of the foundational bounties in Ghost of Yotei, blending investigation, conversation, and combat into a single encounter. It’s a showcase for the game’s dynamic world interactions and a step toward unlocking higher-tier Ishikari contracts.
