What to know

  • Standoff and Meltdown are back as remastered maps in Black Ops 7 Season 1.
  • Nuketown 2025 also drops on November 20, ahead of the season launch.
  • Seven new weapons arrive, including the Maddox rifle from Black Ops 4.
  • Three new Zombies maps are coming, plus limited-time holiday modes.

Treyarch isn’t holding back for Black Ops 7’s debut. The studio is calling Season 1 “the biggest in franchise history,” and the lineup backs that up. Alongside the returning fan favorites, players will get five new 6v6 maps — Fate, Odysseus, Utopia, Yakei, and one still under wraps. There’s also talk of Aftermarket Parts coming through weekly challenges, letting players tweak their weapons in all-new ways.

Weapon-wise, the Maddox assault rifle is back, joined by the Crossbow and Ballistic Knife — all nods to earlier Black Ops entries. For the undead crowd, Zombies mode gets three new experiences: Astra Malorum as a round-based map, and the survival maps Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome.

It’s a hefty launch plan designed to keep things moving well past the November 14 game release. Nuketown 2025 will hit just six days later, and Treyarch promises even more midseason content drops and festive limited-time modes to keep players hooked through the holidays.
