the A Safehouse in the Hills is a GTA Online update that adds purchasable hillside mansions, offering new interiors, heist planning spaces, daily operations, security defenses, and exclusive missions. Players can live, store vehicles, plan crimes, host friends, and earn money through upgraded safehouse features.

This expands GTA Online with fully customizable mansions, new criminal operations, and high-end security systems.

This beginner-friendly guide explains how to unlock features, use every system, and get the most value from your safehouse.

New Missions

Players can take on a new multi-stage operation led by Avi Schwartzman, who believes the tech company KnoWay is secretly using autonomous SUVs to build a large-scale surveillance network. Your goal is to dismantle their project through a series of aggressive, high-risk objectives designed for 1 to 4 players.

What these missions involve:

“Home Sweet Home” – Living in Your Mansion

The Home Sweet Home mission becomes available after completing all of Avi Schwartzman’s KnoWay Out missions. To trigger it, you’ll need to own a mansion and have met Michael in the opening cutscene. Once the Avi missions are finished, enter free roam and wait for a few minutes, make sure you are outside any interior or building and maintain some distance from your mansion. After this, you’ll receive a robotic call from Avi, which will start the mission.

New Vehicles

The update adds multiple high-end vehicles across Super, Sports, and Luxury classes:

  • Pfister X-treme (Super)
  • Übermacht Sentinel XS4 (Sedan)
  • Grotti GT750 (Sports Classic)
  • Vapid FMJ MK V (Super; GTA+ early access)

Mansions in GTA Online

Three new mansion properties are available through the in-game Prix Luxury Real Estate. Each includes high-end amenities, a 20-vehicle garage, private helipad, gym and yoga space, trophy rooms, media areas, a salon, pet facilities, and more. Players can own all three simultaneously, gaining additional garage capacity and customization space.

Additional Rooms (Optional Add-Ons)

Mansions in A Safehouse in the Hills allow you to install several premium add-on rooms. These rooms expand your property’s functionality, unlock new gameplay features, and upgrade your lifestyle inside the Vinewood Residence, Richman Villa, or other hillside estates.

Below are all four Extra Rooms:

1. Armory

The Armory gives your mansion a full weapon management suite.
Features:

  • MK II Weapon Workshop
  • Purchase & modify weapons
  • Ammo, armor, and gear storage
  • Clean, spacious white-and-steel design

The description emphasizes that "while having a room dedicated to every amendment would be possible, the second comes standard" — a classy Rockstar-style joke confirming the Armory is a premium addition.
