After a lot of wait, the ZTE Maven 2 at AT&T is finally receiving the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS update today. ZTE, for good, decided the skip the Android 7.0 build, thus getting the Maven 2 users at AT&T a direct shot at 7.1.1 version of Android, which is kinda latest until the Android 8.0 build drops by.
The Nougat update for ZTE Maven 2 comes as software version Z831V1.0.0B29, and comes in the size of 1.16GB. You would need to be on version Z831V1.0.0B19 to be eligible for the Nougat update.
With Android Nougat, you get lots of cool features and performance boost on your Maven 2. Besides the obviously popular features like split-screen, new Settings app, revamped notifications shade with Direct Reply feature, improved Doze mode and such, the OS gets some serious under the hood performance enhancements which results in better system stability.
The Nougat update is rolling out as an OTA as we talk, and should hit all AT&T customers using the Maven 2 pretty soon, within next 2-3 weeks.
