The new Android tablet is about to hit the stores and it’s one from Sony at AT&T — the Sony S2 Android tablet that features Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, dual-core processor, Wi-Fi, 4G (no LTE though but the HDPA+ support is no slouch, you know), etc. But that’s not what Sony S2 will be known for, it’s the unique design and new concept of the tablet — the two 5.5 inch screens, each producing very high res of 1024 x 480. The screens fold together well which makes the S2 the most portable tablet around. AT&T just announced this very different and pretty cool tablet and the launch should be near now — September or early October release looks very much likely to us.

AT&T only recently launched Son Ericsson’s Xperia Play gaming android phone and it seems the partnership between Sony and At&T is still going good — remember, it was AT&T which took the responsibility of SE’s Xperia X10 last year, too. Sony is yet to produce a dual-core phone even when every other major manufacturer has got some dual-core beasts launched but at least with the tablets, Sony’s has accepted that dual-core processor exists for good and thus have gladly incorporated them in the S2 and S1 tablet. we hope Sony comes out with a dual-core phone soon before Samsung and other start producing the much touted quad-core phones.

Sony S2’s Price and Release Date as still unknown but know it’s got a carrier, those dates and cost announcements aren’t far. So, if you plan to buy this amazing two-screen tablet that clearly stands out from the horde of 7 and 10 inch tablets, you can start saving some bucks right away.
