Almost after a year of the official release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by Google, AT&T is finally rolling out the Marshmallow update to its Galaxy S6 Edge Plus G928A variant.
The update is coming with build no. G928AUCU2BPE6, and is already seeding out AT&T S6 Edge Plus users as we speak. For more info and changelog for the update, check out the announcement post by our folks over at The Android Soul.
As is always the case with OTA updates from AT&T, the PE6 Marshmallow update to your AT&T S6 Edge Plus will break root access on your device and block you out of any previously known methods for getting the device rooted.
If you care for root access, we advice you to NOT install the AT&T S6 Edge Plus PE6 Marshmallow OTA until someone knowledgeable over at xda or other Android community forums come up with a working method for rooting the PE6 Marshmallow update.
We’ll update this post as soon as we have any positive information on rooting AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge Plus on Marshmallow. Until then, keep some patience and don’t install the OTA update.
Happy Androiding!
