Only a day after the global variants of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ started receiving the latest Android security update for the month of July 2018, American carrier AT&T is also rolling out a similar update to users of the phones over the air.
Samsung Galaxy S8 users are receiving an update with software version G950USQS5CRF5 while the S8+ is on version G955USQS5CRF5 and the updates weigh under 150MB. In order to download and install the latest update on your S8 or S8+, AT&T notes that you must be on build number CRE9, which is the previous version.

Besides installing the July 2018 security patch, the update also brings bug fixes and performance improvements to the duo. The global update that brought July patches also came with camera and Bluetooth improvements – things we also hope to see on other variants of the S8 and S8+, too.
Being an OTA update, you’ll have to wait for a few more days before the download notification arrives on your phone. Other than waiting, you can also try forcing the update via your device’s Settings menu.
