Motorola is expected to release the update to Android Pie for the Moto Z2 Force in the coming weeks, but today, we have different news for you.

Owners of the Moto Z2 Force on AT&T can now download and install the latest Android security patch available for the handset. The update bumps the patch level to January 2019, which, of course, isn’t the latest version available from the big G.

The AT&T variant of the Moto Z2 Force has model number XT1789, so be sure that this is the variant you have. Besides the new security patch, you also get plenty of bug fixes and performance optimizations.

The carrier says the update weighs about 100MB and carries software version OCXS27.109-47-20. Being an OTA rollout, it will take a few days before all units get the download notification, so you’ll have to be patient.
