AT&T Note 5 Marshmallow Update [N920A]

AT&T Galaxy Note 5 will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update a while after Google officially announces the update, and Samsung submits the update for Note 5 to AT&T.

This seem straightforward and quick when said, but actually this process goes pretty slow with AT&T. So don’t expect AT&T Note 5 Marshmallow update anytime before mid-November 2015, even it’s officially going to be released by Google on September 29th.

Android Marshmallow will be bringing loads of new features, but there won’t be a UI refresh like on Lollipop with material design. So we expect the update rollout slightly quicker than last year when Lollipop released and Samsung had to completely re-skin TouchWiz to match with the material design style.

From Samsung’s part, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update should be ready for AT&T Note 5 by November 2015. However, AT&T might delay it for another 15-30 days.

Expected release: Nov-Dec 2015

  1. Ahhhhhh, I want my update its already March. I really need to know an official date or at least month so I can now when to be ready I wish at&t would tweet it or something

    1. Other carriers upgrading Note 5 to marshmallow what’s wrong with AT&T why are they so slow they’re going to force me to go to another vendor. Who is on top of updates in a reasonable fashion. Not always lagging behind an not communicating with their customers it’s a update not national security let us know what’s going on

  3. That’s AT&T only down fall, they are always slow to update their devices. If they got them out faster they would be unstoppable.

  7. All the carriers in my area have released Marshmallow update, except my carrier, AT&T.
Seriously considering changing carriers, but AT&T is the only service I can get in my area.
