AT&T Nexus 6 receiving an OTA update with January security patch, build NBD91W

AT&T Nexus 6 is receiving a minor OTA update with January security patch. The update comes with build number NBD91W and is 26MB in size.

The OTA update is currently on the roll as we speak and reach your device automatically. However, if you’re not one to wait for it, go ahead and manually check for the update from device Settings » About phone » Software updates section.

As you’d expect the update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Notably, Google has released the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to all supported Nexus devices, but the Nexus 6 is still due to get the update.

On a side note, if you’re okay with running a custom ROM on your Nexus 6, folks over at Lineage OS have released an official build of their new OS (Lineage 14.1) for the Nexus 6 as well. Lineage 14.1 is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Check our Lineage OS download page to get the ROM file.
