AT&T is currently rolling out a new software update to both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ over-the-air.

The update arrives with the software version G950USQS1AQF7 and G955USQS1AQF7 for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively and installs the latest, i,.e., June security patch on the handsets.

The update weighs around a little north of 125MB for both the devices. So, it shouldn’t take long for it to download. Regardless, ensure your device has enough charge left before hitting the download button.

It’s always advisable to maintain at least 50 to 60% charge on the device before installing the update.

Also, try to switch to a Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. In this case, it’s still okay since the update weighs around 125MB only. But again, if you want to avoid unnecessary data charges, you will have to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.

And, as usual, keep a backup of your data handy. You shouldn’t face any problems installing the update. However, should you come across any issues, a backup will always save you from the trouble.
