AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge and S5 Active gets January security update, builds G925AUCS5DPK5 and G870AUCS2DPK4

AT&T has released new software updates for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S5 Active. These new updates are security updates and install the latest January Android security patches.

The Galaxy S6 Edge update build number is G925AUCS5DPK5 and it only weighs 17.2MB. The update is available as an OTA and is a recommended install. This isn’t he Android Nougat update that’s been reported to be available soon. Verizon also released a similar security update for their S6 Edge yesterday.

Late last month, the WiFi alliance certified the Android Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 Edge on Sprint and Verizon. The update is most likely just around the corner as the manual was also released recently.

Another AT&T device, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, which is running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, received the security update today. It installs the latest January security patch and that’s about it. The update weighs 26.2MB and is currently available as an OTA. The build number is G870AUCS2DPK4.
