Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units on AT&T network are receiving a new software update. The update installs the latest monthly security patch.
AT&T Galaxy S6 is receiving the update as build number G920AUCS6EQG1 while the update with build number G925AUCS6EQG1 is hitting AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge. Weighing at 22MB, the update is a minor one yet highly recommended as it enhances the security of your device by installing July security patch.
And most likely, the new firmware update, which is Android 7.0.1 Nougat based, also brings regular bug fixes and system enhancements. It is being rolled out over the air and may take some time to appear on your device. In case you are too impatient to wait, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

However, before installing the update ensure that your Samsung handset is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network to avoid extra data charges.
