Asus ZenUI Launcher updated with Google app integration and icon frames

Asus ZenUI Launcher

Asus is currently rolling out an update to its ZenUI Launcher which brings much-needed changes to the launcher alongside bug fixes.

Firstly, the update adds support for editing wallpapers meaning you will be able to crop wallpapers if need be. Secondly, you will now be able to apply Icon Frames to your shortcuts. This will, of course, make the home screen look cleaner and better.

All you have to do to enable the Icon Frames feature is to head straight to the Manage Home option under Settings and click on Preferences > Folder/Icon.

The update also integrates the Google app directly into ZenUI Launcher so that you can use it just with a swipe. To enable this feature, again you have to visit Manage Home > Preferences > Home screen from the Settings option. It also allows you to choose between Infinite Scrolling or Standard Scrolling based on your preferences.

  1. ASUS needs to completely re-design ZenUI or just kill it. It still looks like Gingerbread.
