Archos, the French multinational electronics company has unveiled a bunch of new smartphones today extending its Diamond as well as the Sense line. All the smartphones launched today will be available for purchase in the European market starting this July.
The Diamond as well as Sense series both see two new additions each in the form of Archos Diamond Alpha, Archos Diamond Gamma, Archos Sense 55S, and Archos Sense 50X.
The Archos Diamond Alpha seems to be the most powerful handset among the lot. It features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 13MP dual camera (RGB + Monochrome) setup on the back, 16MP selfie camera, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is priced at 299€ (after a 50€ cash discount).

The Archos Diamond Gamma, on the other hand, is an affordable alternative. It has a bigger 5.5-inch IPS display but comes with HD resolution. There’s a Snapdragon 435 chipset under the hood alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable onboard storage. The fingerprint scanner, unlike the Diamond Alpha, is located at the front which also doubles as a home button. The Archos Diamond Gamma will set you back by €199.

Then there’s Archos Sense 55S. It comes with narrow bezels at the top, left, and right, but has a big cheek at the bottom. In case you are wondering, there’s a 5.5-inch display which covers 78% of the front panel. The fingerprint scanner is located on the back just below the 8MP dual camera setup. The Android 7.0 Nougat powered phone comes with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable onboard storage. Also, there’s a 3,000mAh battery to keep the lights on. You can purchase the Archos Sense 55s by shelling out €249.

Finally, there’s the Archos Sense 50X. Unlike the above phones, the Sense 50X is aimed at rugged smartphone buyers. The smartphone comes with an IP68-certification for dust and water resistance. Also, the smartphone is claimed to withstand extreme weather conditions as well. It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737T chipset which is hooked to 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. You can get it for €169.
