Archos just uncovered a new model under its android tablets lineup — the Arnova 9 G2. One look at the specs — see below — and you know that it’s supposed to be one of the cheapest buyable tablets. I said buyable because there already too many cheap tablets, that are so chunky and ugly, that even the low cost seems unjustified. Anyway, Arnova 9 G2 looks good if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful tablet.
Arnova 9 G2 doesn’t belong to hi-end league, and it would be unfair to compare it against bets android tablets right now — Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Transformer, etc — or the upcoming great quad-core tablet, Asus Transformer Prime. It’s an odd single-core processor tablet, with Android 2.3 (suited for phone, actually) onboard, so its similar to original 7-incher Galaxy Tab, but it Arnova 9 G2 get you cool iPad-esque 9.7-inch IPS display in 4:3 ratio (which means wider tablet as compared to 10.1 inch tablets like Tab 10.1 and Transformer).

Archos Arnova 9 G2 v/s 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab
The Arnova 9 G2 looks fairly decent and is not bad for an affordable tablet. But since Archos hasn’t announced the price yet, we couldn’t compare it with original 7-inch Galaxy Tab, and find a winner just like that.
Archos Arnova 9 G2 Price
Price is yet to be announced but we hope it will the best of all cheap tablets available with Android OS.
Archos Arnova 9 G2 Release Date
