In Arc Raiders, the Tempest is a fully automatic assault rifle, which makes it one of the most sough-after weapons in the game. Its solid mid-range accuracy, decent fire rate, and stability make it very effective in both PvP and PvE scenarios.

Where to find the Tempest assault rifle
You can get the Tempest in one of two ways - Scavenging or Crafting.
Scavenging the Tempest
Being a highly valuable weapon, the Tempest can be found in moderate to high-value weapon loot containers. You will need to have the Security Breach skill unlocked to gain access to such loot.
We found the Tempest in a locker that required the Security Breach.
The location for this was the Power Generation Complex on the Dam Battlegrounds map, which is known for such high-value loot.
Scavenging the Tempest blueprint
Another way to get the Tempest is by crafting it. However, you will need to scavenge and find its Blueprint.
You're likely to find the blueprints in weapon cases, security breach lockers, raider caches, and puzzle rooms. Give prominence to the Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City maps when going on scavenging runs.
Do note that the blueprint is not found during the Harvester event.
Crafting the Tempest
Once you have the blueprint, you will need to have access to Gunsmith 3 to craft the base weapon. Afterwards, upgrading the Tempest will require increasing levels of advanced mechanical components and medium gun parts. Each upgrade tier reduces recoil and reload time and enhances durability:
