Shield Recharger: Location & How to get

A Shield Recharger can be acquired in three ways - Scavenging, Crafting, and Lance.

Scavenging

Shield Rechargers can usually be looted from defeated drones or be found as random loot throughout the four maps. For example, we found ours on a dead raider inside the Testing Annex building on the Dam Battlegrounds map.

Crafting

You can craft Shield Rechargers at Workshop I if you have the following materials:

  • 5x Rubber Parts
  • 1x ARC Powercell

Lance

You can also purchase shield rechargers from Lance, the in-game NPC trader, for 1560 credits.

Shield Recharger: Known Use

As its name suggests, the Shield Recharger will recharge a depleted shield. Here's how to do so:

  • Bring up the item selection wheel.
  • Select the Shield Recharger from your quick-use slots.
  • Hold the use button to channel the recharger.
  • It recharges your shield by 4 points per second over 10 seconds, restoring a total of approximately 40 shield points.
  • Make sure to time its use, when out of cover but not overwhelmed, to avoid being knocked down during activation.

The Shield Recharger is suited for situations where your shield isn’t fully depleted and you have the chance to safely recharge. For higher burst needs, a Surge Shield Recharger or ARC Powercell provides faster recharge.
