Mushrooms in Arc Raiders are a noteworthy nature item required for upgrading your companion and crafting consumables. They tend to spawn in environmental “Nature” zones and around specific industrial structures rather than open fields. In this guide you’ll learn where to look and how to gather them reliably.

Where do mushrooms typically spawn in Arc Raiders

Mushrooms often appear in areas marked with the “Nature” icon (leaf symbol) and are particularly common in two major maps. The spawn is somewhat random, so persistence and knowing the right zones helps a lot.

Dam Battlegrounds – Hydroponic Dome Complex & Surroundings

This is currently the most consistent spot. You’ll find mushrooms:

  • In the Hydroponic Dome Complex, often in the planters and around the structure itself.
  • Along the river and wooded swamp-adjacent region near the Dome.
  • On the top floor of the Water Treatment Control facility, growing on large blue pipes.

Spaceport Map – Tree Clusters Between Little Hanger & East Container Yard (The Trench)

Although less dense than Dam Battlegrounds, this area still yields mushrooms:

  • Check the tree-cluster region between the Little Hanger and East Container Yard.
  • Generally in shaded ground or around fallen trees inside that zone.

General Notes

  • Mushrooms spawn at higher rates when the “Lush Blooms” world modifier is active.
  • Not every plant or pipe will have mushrooms; the spawn is semi-random.
  • Because many players know the better zones, expect competition.

Because of the random spawn and semi-hidden placement, you’ll need to move smartly.

  • Focus your search in the two maps above: Dam Battlegrounds (Hydroponic Dome, Water Treatment) and Spaceport (The Trench tree cluster).
  • Move slowly and scan tree bases, pipes, logs, and shaded ground. Mushrooms are small and blend into terrain.
  • Check after map modifiers like “Lush Blooms” become active — they boost nature spawns.
  • Bring a safety pocket if you’re hunting for upgrade-items (e.g., for your companion). If you extract with them, you keep progress even if you die beforehand.
  • Avoid high-traffic hot zones while looting mushrooms, especially in polluted extraction sites or near major objectives.

Mushrooms uses

  • Mushrooms are required in order to upgrade Scrappy to level 5 (12 mushrooms) to be exact
  • They’re used for crafting consumables which restore stamina or provide passive buffs.

Having a stock helps in runs where you might not find other rare nature items.
