Party size and matchmaking in ARC Raiders
In ARC Raiders, full parties consist of three players. Players are also able to enter matches alone or in pairs, but there is no current option for parties larger than three. Matchmaking respects party size, often matching squads against other squads and solos against solos to maintain fairness and competitive balance. For example, a solo player is more likely to face other solos rather than trios to avoid unfair 3-vs-1 encounters.
How many players appear in a raid
Each raid map in ARC Raiders typically features between 15 and 20 players. This population consists of solos and multiple squads of up to three players each. Human players share the map with AI-controlled enemies during the approximately 30-minute raid.
Playing in a trio allows for versatile teamwork strategies: covering fire, distracting enemies, and collaborative looting. Solo and duo players have different pacing and risk levels, often benefiting from stealth and quicker decisions, while trios can take on more complex engagements.
