What to know

  • Hotfix 1.13.1 targets issues introduced in the prior update, focusing on weapon behavior, cosmetics visibility, localization, and looting feel.

  • Unintended fire-rate changes affecting several weapons have been fixed.

  • Xbox deployment is delayed; during the delay, Xbox players cannot use cross-play.

  • Loot reveal timing has been rebalanced so the first item appears sooner when looting, while a perk still provides faster visibility than default.

ARC Raiders has shipped Hotfix 1.13.1 to address several high-impact problems caused by the previous update, including weapon fire-rate behavior, cosmetic menu visibility, and looting pacing. The update also comes with a platform note: Xbox is getting the hotfix later than other platforms, and cross-play for Xbox players is unavailable until that delayed patch arrives.

Hotfix 1.13.1 release context

Hotfix 1.13.1 is framed as a rapid response to “unintended issues” introduced in “yesterday’s update,” with the developers prioritizing the most impactful problems first. The announcement specifically calls out that the Xbox version of the hotfix is delayed, with active work underway to bring it online.

Xbox delay and cross-play impact

Xbox players are affected in two ways while the hotfix is pending on the platform: the update itself arrives later, and cross-play is temporarily disabled for Xbox. That means squads relying on cross-platform play may need to regroup on matching platforms until Xbox receives the hotfix.

Weapon fire-rate bug fixed

The hotfix fixes an issue that caused unintended fire-rate changes to several weapons. In the developer note, the team says the reduced rate of fire was a bug rather than a planned balance change, and they emphasize an intent to include changes in patch notes when they are deliberate.

Cosmetics and localization fixes

Hotfix 1.13.1 fixes an issue where some cosmetics obtainable via Raider Tokens were missing from the customization menu if they had not been purchased yet. It also fixes an issue where parts of the Ukrainian localization appeared unintentionally, alongside a note that a full Ukrainian translation (and other languages) is in progress for a future release.

Looting speed adjustment

The developers acknowledge reports that loot appeared too slowly and say Hotfix 1.13.1 rebalances how quickly the first item appears when looting. The announcement also clarifies that the looting speed before version 1.13.0 was unintended, and that players with the “Looter’s Instincts” unlock will still see loot faster than those without it.

Full Hotfix 1.13.1 notes

All the Hotfix 1.13.1 notes as provided by the developers are as follows:

  • Fixed an issue that caused unintended fire rate changes to several weapons.
Dev Note: Following yesterday’s update, some weapons were affected by a bug that reduced their rate of fire. This was not an intentional change. We always aim to include all changes in our patch notes, and we appreciate you flagging this quickly.
  • Fixed an issue where some cosmetics available through Raider Tokens were missing from the customization menu if they hadn’t been purchased yet.
  • Fixed an issue where parts of the Ukrainian localization unintentionally appeared in the game.
Dev Note: We’re actively working on a full Ukrainian translation among other languages for ARC Raiders and will release once they are ready.
  • We have heard you wondering about the loot appearing too slowly. We have rebalanced the speed at which the first item appears when looting. The looting speed before 1.13.0 was unintended. Players with the Looter’s Instincts unlocked will still see loot faster than those without.

Stability and moment-to-moment feel are the core focus of Hotfix 1.13.1, with the patch targeting gameplay pacing, weapon behavior, and usability issues rather than adding new content. Xbox players should plan around a short-term cross-play interruption until the delayed platform update goes live.
