The Hairpin Pistol is undoubtedly one of the best weapons in Arc Raiders, hands down! A single-action pistol with a built-in silencer, it's every stealthy raider's go to weapon, even if it is less than ideal in combat.
Hairpin location: Where to find it
The Hairpin pistol can be acquired in one of three ways - scavenging, crafting, or by purchasing it from Tian Wen.

Search weapon crates scattered across the four maps. You're likely to find these on the Blue Gate, Dam Battlegrounds, and Spaceport maps.
Alternatively, visit Tian Wen and purchase Hairpin for 1350 coins.
Hairpin requirements for crafting
To craft the base version of the Hairpin (Hairpin I), you need:
- 2 x Metal Parts
- 5 x Plastic Parts
How to craft and upgrade the Hairpin
To craft and upgrade the Hairpin, visit the Gunsmith in the Workshop and make sure you have all the required materials. Select Hairpin from the crafting menu.
The Hairpin can be upgraded up to level IV, each upgrade improving the fire rate, reload time, and durability.
| Tier | Required Materials | Fire Rate Increase | Reload Speed Reduction | Durability Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hairpin I (Base) | 2x Metal Parts, 5x Plastic Parts | — | — | 100 |
| Hairpin II | 8x Metal Parts | +10% | 13% | +10 |
| Hairpin III | 6x Metal Parts, 1x Simple Gun Parts | +20% | 26% | +20 |
| Hairpin IV | 1x Mechanical Components, 1x Simple Gun Parts | +30% | 40% | +30 |
How to use the Hairpin effectively
The Hairpin pistol is ideal for fast loot runs and making quick bucks. With the Hairpin pistol, you don't need to take a lot of ammo. The built-in silencer is great if you want to avoid attracting other players. The damage level is decent too. However, because its Arc Armor Penetration is quite weak, it's not ideal for combat. Unless you've upgraded it to higher levels, it's best to use a better combat capable weapon.
