The Dam Testing Annex Key is a useful, low-risk item when you’re roaming the Dam map. It’s best used when you’re already near the Testing Annex: you can clear two small rooms quickly and pocket mid-tier gear or crafting materials, or sell the key if your inventory and risk level don’t justify the detour.

Dam Testing Annex Key Location

The Dam Testing Annex Key drops as a random loot item across the Dam Battlegrounds. Check chests, crates and enemy bodies around the Research & Administration building and nearby high-traffic loot spawns; players commonly report finding keys in these areas.

Once looted, head toward the Testing Annex section on the southeast side of the Dam. The two doors that use this key are both inside the Testing Annex complex—one closer to the main hallway and the other further down the same corridor.

How to use the Dam Testing Annex Key

Step #1

Secure the key by looting containers or enemies on the Dam Battlegrounds, prioritizing the Research & Administration vicinity if you want higher chances.

Step #2

Move to the Testing Annex area (southeast portion of the Dam). Approach the building cautiously—other players or bots may be nearby.

Step #3

Enter the Testing Annex and locate the first locked door in the main hallway. Use the Dam Testing Annex Key to unlock and enter the room; loot what you need.

Step #4

Return to the hallway and continue a short distance down the corridor to the second locked door; use the same key to open it and collect the room’s contents.
