What to know
- ARC Raiders is a third-person extraction shooter with PvPvE gameplay.
- It does not feature a traditional campaign mode for single-player or co-op.
- Players engage in 30-minute raids, completing quests and extracting loot.
- There is a solo mode but no structured narrative campaign.
ARC Raiders is designed as a multiplayer extraction shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by hostile ARC machines and other raiders. The core gameplay revolves around high-risk 30-minute missions in which players fight AI enemies and other players while scavenging valuable loot.
The gameplay focuses on dynamic raid scenarios with various quests provided during matches. These quests involve objectives like finding rare components or defeating ARC machines but do not follow a scripted story campaign.
Players drop into large maps such as Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, and others under varying weather and conditions. The game's emphasis is on multiplayer action either in squads or solo with its matchmaking system balancing solo players against similar solo opponents to maintain fair encounters.
As a solo player (mostly), I don’t really need Arc Raiders to have a full single-player PvE mode. But I do hope there will be activities like strikes, dungeons, or raids

Though some in the community have expressed interest in a dedicated campaign for deeper lore and narrative, the current version emphasizes emergent gameplay and cooperative raids without a structured story campaign mode. Players progress by completing raids, upgrading characters, and crafting gear.
