In Arc Raiders, Bobcat is a fully automatic submachine gun (SMG) with a high fire rate. It might be low on accuracy but in the right hands, it can do a lot of damage. Here's everything you need to know about how to get the Bobcat, how to craft and upgrade it, and its stats.
Bobcat location: Where to find it
The Bobcat can be found scavenging or crafted at the Gunsmith as long as you have the required materials, including its Blueprint. The Bobcat Blueprint itself is not easy to find. You'll have to focus on high-value loot zones and check out weapon crates wherever possible, that is, across all four maps.
Bobcat requirements for crafting
To craft the base version of the Bobcat (Bobcat I), you need:
- Gunsmith Lvl. 3
- Bobcat Blueprint

How to craft and upgrade the Bobcat
To craft the Bobcat, you'll need to have the Gunsmith upgraded to Level 3. First, go to your inventory and select the Bobcat Blueprint. Choose "Learn and Consume" to unlock the recipe. Then go to the Gunsmith and craft the weapon.
The Bobcat can be upgraded up to level IV, each upgrade reducing max shot dispersion, horizontal recoils, and reload time, while also improving durability.
| Tier | Required Materials | Reduced Max Shot Dispersion | Reduced Horizontal Recoils | Reduced Reload Time | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bobcat I (Base) | Blueprint | — | — | — | 56 |
| Bobcat II | 2x Advanced Mechanical Components, 1x Light Gun Parts | 15% | 15% | 13% | +10 |
| Bobcat III | 2x Advanced Mechanical Components, 1x Light Gun Parts | 30% | 30% | 26% | +20 |
| Bobcat IV | 2x Advanced Mechanical Components, 3x Light Gun Parts | 50% | 45% | 40% | +30 |
How to use the Bobcat effectively
Without the upgrades, the Bobcat is quite a weak weapon. But if you take the take to craft and upgrade it up the levels, it's one of the best in the business. Sure, it requires a lot of investment, but it's definitely worth the end-game weapon that it becomes.
Being a fast-firing SMG, the Bobcat is good for close to mid-range encounters. Ideally, you shouldn't use Bobcat's base version. Craft it only so you can upgrade it. If you can take it all the way to Bobcat IV, and upgrade it with a Vertical Grip III and an extended light mag, you're good to go.
