The Google Camera app from Android 5.0 Lollipop preview images for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 that we pulled out and tried to install/port on other Android devices is now available on the Play store itself. No doubt, Google is preparing all its apps well in advance before the first Android 5.0 device, Nexus 9, releases on 3rd November. The updated Google Camera app now stands at v2.4.022, while the version on Android 5.0 Lollipop final preview builds was v2.4.008. So this is slightly better version, but we don’t there’s anything new other than some bug fixes.

The last Google Camera update in the Play Store was v2.3.020, so this is definitely a worthy update for the folks who didn’t tried the camera apk from Android 5.0 preview builds.

There’s isn’t much new stuff functionality-wise, but you’ll find some new icons and sweet new animations inside the latest Google Camera app.

The update to Google Camera v2.4.022 is gradually rolling out for everyone via Play Store. But if you’d like to get the update now, then just grab the Google Camera APK file from the download link below and install it on your Android device right away.
