Chrome stable release gets updated to version 39.0.2171.59, which is apparently also the current version of Chrome Beta which was updated only yesterday with a couple of new features like new theme-color attribute which allows website developers to define the color of Chrome address bar and the Notification bar on Android to match with their site’s theme.
The Chrome stable gets the new theme-color attribute along with merging of Chrome tabs into recents screen on Android 5.0 running devices. This is an optional feature though and you can easily disable it from the browser’s settings menu. The merging of Chrome tabs into recents screen is a feature of Android 5.0 Lollipop update and was available in the Chrome Beta for quite some time.
The Chrome Browser update to version 39.0.2171.59 is gradually rolling out on the Play store, however if you’d like to install it now, grab the apk file from the link below and install it normally like you’d install any other apk file on your Android device.
