Google may not have released Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially to Nexus 10, but that doesn’t mean your Nexus 10 isn’t capable of running it.
The freshest release of Android (Marshmallow) can work pretty good on all devices with 2GB of RAM, and that counts in Nexus 10 as well. Also, thanks to Google, the source code for Android 6.0 is already available in AOSP (Android Open Source Project), so you can get an AOSP based Marshmallow ROM for your tablet.
Luckily for you, Dmitry Grinberg already has an AOSP based Android 6.0 ROM for Nexus 10 which you can flash via Fastboot or TWRP recovery. Also, Dmitry has provided full source if you wish to build the ROM yourself.
Since the ROM is AOSP based, you won’t get Google services like Play Store pre-installed on it. But you can flash a Marshmallow compatible Gapps package separately after installing the ROM to get Google services.
You can grab the Nexus 10 Marshmallow ROM from the download link below, and flash it using TWRP recovery with a factory reset. Once the ROM is installed, flash the Gapps package similarly.
