We have all been hearing about Vivo’s upcoming X5 Pro curtsey sources such as TENAA amongst others. However, considering the fact that all these sources were kind of “unofficial”, the information we managed to obtain was often in bits and pieces thus keeping an overall picture of the device from emerging. However, if a new listing on the TENNA website can be believed, we may now know much of what is to come with Vivo’s latest.
Released under the codename (PD1541_66#) — which is what the previous matter on the subject were released under as well — the listing proves to be a veritable treasure trove of information.
As per TENNA, Vivo X5Pro will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution Super AMOLED display and will be powered by a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Camera wise, you have a 13/5 MP rear/front camera combination with apertures of f/2.0 and f/2.4 respectively. The whole package will run on Android 5.0 layered with FunTouch OS 2.1.
What’s most surprising however, is the gigantic 4,150 mAh battery that the device will apparently pack — which is way larger than any used by either Vivo or even by other manufacturers for devices in the same class due to size constraints. Although we are in the dark as to how Vivo managed to fit this battery inside the device — which as per the images leaked — was pretty thin.
Well, it may be that the specs refer to some other version of the same device, there is also the possibility of some brand new technology that allows Vivo to fit the extra-large battery into its device. While both the theories are plausible enough, we will just have to wait to know anything for certain.
