Samsung Turkey has updated its software page to indicate that Android 9 Pie for the Galaxy M20, Galaxy M10, and Galaxy J7 Core arrives next week.
The Turkish branch of Samsung maintains a software support page that is updated regularly and for long has served us with release dates for Android OS upgrades. While mostly specific to the European country, such info also gives us a heads-up of when to expect the rollout in other markets.
Earlier this year, the Galaxy M20 and M10 were scheduled to receive Android Pie in August, but it seems this date has been revised to May 31st. Again, it’s possible this is specific to the Turkish variant and probably Europe in general.
Another device that will also join the M20 and M10 pair in receiving Pie is the Galaxy J7 Core (SM-J701F). In some markets, this device goes by the name Galaxy J7 Neo or Galaxy J7 Nxt Duos. It came preinstalled with Nougat and an update to Pie would be the second major Android OS. Awesome stuff from Samsung.
As part of Pie, the three devices will receive Samsung’s new One UI skin that tags along a system-wide dark theme, adaptive brightness, adaptive battery, gestures for navigation, and so on. You can read about the One UI via the links below.
