We’ve already seen several instances of the BlackBerry KEYone on the Wi-Fi Alliance totting Android Oreo, suggesting that the official rollout was almost here. Canada’s Rogers further published on its software support page that that BlackBerry KEYone Oreo update would begin on June 28, but we all know what happened.

Apparently, the same carrier has a new release date for the KEYone Oreo update, where the OS is expected to begin rolling out on July 5. It’s not unusual for a scheduled software update release date to be met. It happens every time.

In addition to installing Android Oreo, 8.0, the update will also bring along a new feature: Wi-Fi Calling, however, it’s unlikely to include July 2018 patches.
