Your highness, we’ve just secured a TWRP flashable zip file of Android 6.0 update, so that you don’t have to burden yourself with installing stock recovery back to install an Marshmallow OTA update (click the link to get OTA zip).

With this, you can flash the Marshmallow update using TWRP itself. The update is completely stock, save for the tweak that was required to make it work with TWRP.

Hence, the Marshmallow update for Android One Sprout4 devices we have here is unrooted. But do make sure that you are on Android 5.1.1 update, with build no. exactly LMY48M, as this is the base required by Marshmallow update.

Compatible devices (Sprout4)

  • Micromax Canvas A1
  • Karbonn Sparkle V
  • Spice Dream UNO
  • MyPhone Uno
  • Symphony Roar A50 (8GB variant only)

How to install Marshmallow Marshmallow updates

Make sure you ave installed TWRP recovery on your device, and that it’s running Android 5.1.1 right now, with build no. LMY48M. If you need TWRP, check our page on Android One TWRP recovery. And if you need LMY48M build, get it from here, and install it using TWRP easily.

Step 1. Download the Marshmallow update file from above.

Step 2. Transfer the Marshmallow update file to your device. Remember the file’s location.

Step 3. Boot your device into recovery mode. Once you see TWRP, you are good to go to next step. (If you are rooted, you can use Quick Boot app from play store.)

→ Tip: Once you boot into TWRP, create a backup so that if anything goes wrong, you can restore this backup to fix your device.

Step 4. In TWRP recovery, tap on Install > locate the Marshmallow update file and tap on it to select it for flashing. Then do the Swipe action at bottom to begin flashing the Marshmallow radio and bootloader. Wait for the update to install.

Step 5. When done, tap on Wipe Dalvik cache button, and when that is also done, tap on reboot system button to restart the device.

That’s it.

Your Sprout4 device, which could be either of various devices given the codename Sprout4 by Google, will be running Android 6.0 update now. Enjoy!
