As Samsung had promised earlier that they plan to release the Galaxy S7 Nougat update as beta under their ‘Galaxy beta program’, we can now confirm that beta 7.0 update is now live in Korea, and users are receiving the confirmation via the Samsung members app. The Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat update is also as beta, BTW.
We also have the software version/build no. available of the S7 and S7 Edge Nougat update, which are as follows. For Galaxy S7, it’s G930SKSU1ZPK4, G930KKKU1ZPK4 and G930LKLU1ZPK4; while for the Galaxy S7 Edge, it’s G935SKSU1ZPK4, G935KKKU1ZPK4 and G935LKLU1ZPK4 respectively for Korean carriers SK Telecom, KT corporation and LG Uplus.
Yes, that’s odd, why the Samsung members and Galaxy beta program app are being mixed for the Samsung Nougat update (beta), but we shall know more once it hits outside of Korea. The screenshot above shows the confirmation of the Nougat beta update OTA download, sized 1294 MB. Some more screenshots below. The Nougat beta seems registered for the S7 device with KT corporation in Korea.
For now, if you own either of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, and want Nougat update that will be available starting today in beta, do this:
- Install Galaxy Beta program app, and register through that app.
- Also install Samsung members app, and if your device gets registered for Nougat beta, you should see a confirmation here, as shown in the screenshot at the top (Korean S7 unit it is, BTW!).

With the Nougat beta update, the Graze UI also hugs the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge sets along with the Android 7.0 upgrade. Check this out!
