Ice Cream Sandwich for Epic 4G Touch [Development in progress]

Oh snap ─ it’s Ice Cream Sandwich for the Epic 4G Touch. Awesome.

A group of developers at XDA just posted about there success in getting the ICS love shower over the remarkably awesome phone by Samsung.

The ROM isn’t available for download for the public yet. The team said that they have succeeded in getting an ICS kernel (fully working with recovery) to boot and they are currently working on fixing other things.

Here’s what the team has to say about the current state of ROM:

SteadyHawkin has gotten an ICS kernel put together with a fully working recovery!! Way to go, man!! At this point, we are testing with our current build to work on fixing things! I have been trying to get a source build of our own together, but there is a problem when trying to sync ICS source right now. But we will continue on 

So sad that you can’t go and download the ROM and flash it through CWM and be amazed ─ Phew! Yeah, nothing like that right now. So sad.

Anyway, the developers working on the ICS ROM for Epic 4G Touch have posted plenty of screen shots for us to believe that awesomeness is right on its way. So be prepared to blow. You can follow the updates for this rom on the official development page.
