Right now, the talk is all about Android L, which Google revealed at Google I/O 2014. However, Google also released Android 4.4.4 only days before the Google I/O event. Android 4.4.4 was a small security update at its best, but it too followed up the Android 4.4.3 update which was released only a couple of weeks ago and brought along with it a new dialer, bug fixes and other minor stuff. I know it’s all confusing but this is how the month of June 2014 went for Android.
Anyway, Sony has begun pushing out phased Android 4.4.4 update for the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra devices. The update will bring app improvements, camera tweaks, security updates and other minor tweaks/changes. Sony confirmed the update rollout on its official @SonyMobileNews twiiter account.
