It’s been two years since Amazon refreshed the Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids Edition tablets, but finally, we have newer models of the most affordable tablets money can buy.

To be clear, you shouldn’t expect anything out of this world. But for what’s worth, you are still getting what are decent products with some tweaks here and there compared to their most recent predecessors but for the same bucks.

The most notable change the new Amazon Fire 7 tablet brings is the doubled internal storage to 16GB and 32GB, yet the price is still the same $50 and $70 with lock screen ads or $65 and $85 without ads. The new slate also has a new selfie camera that supports up to 720p video chats.

As for the Kids Edition, it’s basically the standard edition with a vibrant kid-proof standing case painted in Blue, Purple or Pink. The only storage option is 16GB and is available at $99.99, with some benefits like 2-year replacement guarantee if it breaks, a year of free Amazon FreeTime Unlimited that gives your kids access to more than 20,000 audios books, apps, books, and videos from Disney, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids. Of course, parental controls for the content your kids can access and the use time of the tablet.

You can pre-order either slate until June 6. Pre-booking the Fire 7 gets you a $10 Amazon app store credit while the Kids Edition gets you a free pair of headphones with either Bo Peep or Forky from Toy Story 4 valued at $20.
