Most of you haven’t even heard of Romanian OEM, Allview. Well, it’s a company known for value for money smartphones, and it just launched the X4 Soul Lite in Romania recently, and boy does it look good.
At first glance, the X4 Soul Lite looks like yet another Chinese smartphone from the infinite ocean of devices out there. The smartphone has a decent specsheet, but its dedicated to camera lovers who want a better phone at budget pricing, which is why you find AllView talk mostly about rear dual camera and front camera for the most part on its features page.
With 3/4GB of RAM and 16/32GB internal storage, and a MediaTek processor, the AllView X4 Soul Lite looks like modest device for sure. It also features a 5.5-inch FHD display and a fingerprint scanner up front.

Clearly then, the 13MP dual camera at the back which houses Sony IMX258 sensor featuring aperture of F/2.0 remains the best feature of the smartphone. AllView also touts the X4 Soul Lite’s bokeh effect as one of the best, even getting you a slider in camera app to control bokeh effect, but that’s that.
The front camera of the X4 Soul Lite features an 8MP sensor with a flash of its own, and feature aperture of F/2.0.
X4 Soul Lite also gets you FastPass, which is a joint initiative by MediaTek and Google to optimize the software experience on board. What that means is that the device runs a stock and clean build of Nougat. There are Allview specific apps on the smartphone but they’re pretty good to be honest.
