It’s only been five months since the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active was announced, but the company is already on its way to launch the next iteration.

If we take the plethora of leaks into account, it seems increasingly more likely that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Watch Active 2 at its Galaxy Unpacked event in New York on August 7.

Sammobile’s trusted sources have once again come through, offering a deeper insight into Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch.

Here’s what we know so far (via Sammobile):

  • The 44m Watch Active 2 will sport a 1.4-inch 360×360 Super AMOLED display while the smaller 40mm variant will pack a 1.2-inch display but have the same resolution.
  • Will have an aluminum casing.
  • Will ditch the rotating bezel in favor of a Touch Bezel.
  • Will have Gorilla Glass DX+ in addition to the back glass.
  • The case will be up to MIL-STD-810G durability standards.
