Wuthering Waves 3.0 introduces a whole new set of standard 5‑star weapons called the Synth Armament series, which are now the default high‑end options on the permanent banner. These five weapons are designed to work well with the new Tune Strain mechanics and Forte scaling, giving them long‑term value for most main DPS characters.

The new Synth Armament weapons
In Wuthering Waves 3.0, the standard banner now features these five 5-star weapons instead of the older ones:
- Laser Shearer – Sword
- Radiance Cleaver – Broadblade
- Phasic Homogenizer – Pistols
- Pulsation Bracer – Gauntlets
- Boson Astrolabe – Rectifier
Stats and effects
Here’s a quick overview of each weapon’s main stats and passive effect at level 90:
| Weapon | Base ATK | Secondary Stat | Passive Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laser Shearer (Sword) | 587 | Energy Regen 38.8% | +12–24% ATK. Hitting enemies with Tune Strain: Interfered grants 24–36% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for 3s (duration resets on retrigger). |

| Phasic Homogenizer (Pistols) | 587 | Crit DMG 48.6% | +12–24% ATK. Hitting enemies with Tune Strain: Interfered grants 24–36% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for 3s (duration resets on retrigger). |
| Pulsation Bracer (Gauntlets) | 587 | Crit DMG 48.6% | +12–24% ATK. Hitting enemies with Tune Strain: Interfered grants 24–36% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 3s (duration resets on retrigger). |
| Boson Astrolabe (Rectifier) | 587 | Crit Rate 24.3% | +12–24% ATK. Hitting enemies with Tune Strain: Interfered grants up to 4 stacks of 6–9% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 3s (triggers once every 0.5s, duration resets on retrigger). |
How they work with Tune Strain
All five Synth Armament weapons share a similar passive: they boost ATK and then give extra damage when you hit enemies affected by the new debuff Tune Strain: Interfered.
- The debuff is applied by certain Resonators (especially the new 3.0 characters) and some Echoes.
- When you hit an Interfered enemy, the weapon grants a temporary DMG Bonus (Resonance Skill, Liberation, or Basic Attack, depending on the weapon) for 3 seconds.
- Retriggering the effect (by hitting another Interfered enemy) resets the 3‑second timer, so you can keep the bonus active as long as you’re hitting affected targets.
Because of this, these weapons are strongest in teams that can consistently apply and maintain Tune Strain: Interfered on enemies.
Recommended Resonators
Laser Shearer (Sword)
Best used by Changli, as the weapon scales well with her ATK-focused kit and high Echo investment, while Brant can also make use of it as an Energy Regen option if properly built.

Radiance Cleaver (Broadblade)
Shines on Chisa due to her ability to trigger Tune Strain: Interfered, with Lupa and Calcharo also benefiting from its strong ATK scaling and Tune Strain synergy.

Phasic Homogenizer (Pistols)
A top-tier option for all pistol users since every pistol Resonator can now trigger Tune Break Skills, making it especially strong on main DPS units like Lynae, Galbrena, and Ciaccona.

Pulsation Bracer (Gauntlets)
Currently usable on Iuno and Lingyang, though its value is limited by the current gauntlet roster and is clearly designed to scale better with a future dedicated gauntlet DPS.

Boson Astrolabe (Rectifier)
Excels on Basic Attack focused rectifier users like Cantarella, Zhezhi, and Encore, as it boosts ATK and Basic Attack DMG when teammates trigger Tune Break Skills.

What this means for your build
These weapons scale well with ATK and perform especially well in the current Tune Strain meta, often outperforming older standard options when paired with Tune Strain supports. While some older limited weapons may still be better for non–Tune Strain teams, investing in permanent standouts like Radiance Cleaver, Phasic Homogenizer, and Pulsation Bracer is a safe long-term choice for most main DPS builds.
Are they worth it?
Wuthering Waves 3.0’s new standard weapons are a solid upgrade: five 5-star Synth Armament weapons that reward you for hitting enemies with Tune Strain: Interfered, making them great for modern teams. If you’re missing a good 5-star weapon for your main DPS, these are now the go‑to options on the standard banner.
